Yesterday was April 1, also known as April Fools’ Day or All Fools’ Day. Rumors started to circulate that Sarah Jessica Parker and her son had died in a tragic car accident, while Ricky Martin seemed to have changed his mind about his statement of a few days ago and said that he wasn’t really gay. To point out the obvious, these were Internet pranks and, as People can confirm, there is more from where they came.

Apparently, Brooke Burke got pregnant again and, incidentally, word of it got out in the media precisely yesterday – it too was a prank. Adam Lambert’s fans also got the surprise of their life (though they probably weren’t even mildly amused) when dates and venues for his recently launched world tour popped up online, a tour that, useless to say, is not even real for the time being.

Lambert was eventually forced to set the record straight on his Twitter page. With other celebrities, though, the pranks were their own brainchild. “Are the guys of Coldplay the latest celebs launching a signature fragrance? The band broke the faux news on their Web site that Angst by Coldplay, which features ingredients such as sangre, sudor and lágrimas, can now be purchased online for £42, although it’s already sold out,” People writes of the band’s announcement of the other day. For those who don’t know Spanish, Angst is supposed to have as ingredients “blood, sweat and tears.”

Ryan Seacrest got his Twitter hacked, also yesterday. “Joel McHale hacked into Ryan Seacrest’s Twitter account, revealed the American Idol host’s embarrassing password (thirdnipple!) and caused an online traffic jam. ‘Whoops. Looks like I crashed your website again. Sorry ry ry. ;-)’ McHale wrote,” People magazine informs. Of course, Ryan was not upset for if there’s one thing that the AI host has to spare, that is reportedly a sense of humor.

On a final note, while Coldplay attempted to take over the world with a unique fragrance, pop star and international teen idol Justin Bieber was more of a hands-on type of guy. He bought the immensely popular Funny Or Die website and turned it into Bieber Or Die – a prank as well, of course. Below is the video with Bieber’s announcement of going for world domination. Enjoy.
